· Open with Sally, now successful, on a modeling shoot for a commercial. All sorts of people are buzzing around and her agent (War Dancer #4) is there, talking to her about choosing between a movie deal and a TV script when Fabiano arrives for their date. She says to her agent "I don't have time for all this now." and is leaving with Fabiano when...
· Styx comes to take her away. He takes her quantum and she sees all the horrors of the substratum before he takes her away through quantum mists. She is upset and asks where he is taking her-he gestures-the mists clear, and we see the isle of Avalon, misty and green and mysterious, with a small group of Atlantean style buildings on it.
· Cut to War Dancer and Charlemagne fighting in Angkor Wat, Thailand. Igo (a spy from Avalon) has discovered the battle and is observing. The scene ends on a cliff hanger with Charlemagne in trouble, and Igo leaves to report to Thrakahl.
· Cut to Sally being given a tour of Avalon (a few buildings, gardens and a castle/palace complex)-then she is taken to a large, exotic room full of maps, globes and books. There is a guy sitting at a desk who rises at her entrance and introduces himself "My name is Michael Alexander. I live on West 45th street." Sally expresses confusion at where she is and what has happened and Michael begins to explain …
· Michael goes to a beautiful, ornate book on a stand and starts to tell Sally about the origin of the universe and the origin of War Dancer. He opens the book (an illustrated history volume) and we see Plaslantis, and (briefly ) the contest between Arhq and Thrakahl for Zahnrhee's hand. The magical experiment-Arhq and Zahnrhee doing the Dance of Two and being interrupted by the 4 evil magicians, the feathered serpent and Thrakahl. The experiment goes wrong-Zahnrhee is swallowed by the serpent, Arhq is flung out into space, Plaslantis sinks, and Thrakahl is set adrift, alone, in the sea (in the real world). (refer to cassette drama). Michael pulls out a map of the planes of existence from a beautiful woodmap cabinet (flat file) and explains that the experiment created a barrier around a section of the quantum field that grew to become the org of plasm (he shows her a globe model of the Org). He goes, next, to an ornate (plasmoid?) globe (a memory sphere). He activates the sphere and continues with the story of how Lorca discovered Earth and pierced the barrier. As a result of this, he explains, dreams are becoming actualized on Earth and we flash on the origins of the Warriors Of Plasm, Good Guys, Charlemagne and Michael tells about his own, too. This scene is interrupted several times by women coming in to measure Sally, and a scholar comes in to give her a scroll of Atlantean words or magic phrases or something.
· A person comes in and instructs Sally that she must prepare herself to act in Zahnrhee's stead and perform the Dance of Two with Thrakahl to complete the spell and heal the schism. Michael assures her "Yes, this is real."
· Cut to Thrakahl in his war room organizing and planning. Igo comes in and reports that the battle is going badly-that Charlemagne is losing. Thrakahl gives orders to go get Sally and prepare her for the Dance of Two.
· They bring her to the room Thrakahl has prepared-a kind of open sided palisade (maybe a bit like the ball room in Beauty And The Beast). Sally is brought in dressed in Zahnrhee-type finery and Thrakahl is wearing some magnificent garb (we may have some designs ). Sally is presented with great fanfare and ceremony and at the peak of this Thrakahl looks at her and says "No, she isn't the right one."
· Cut to Nudge arriving at the temple of Nimh (Zahnrhee's ancestral temple War Dancer #1) in Sally's backyard with the bottle holding the essence of Zahnrhee. Someone sees her and she mind-nudges them to forget and then enters the temple. She opens the bottle and prepares for the essence, and we have a flashback onto the evolution of the Org since the Schism with a mother's loving eye. Zahnrhee is communicating all that happened to her to Nudge to prepare her to receive her spirit and Zahnrhee's perspective is very benevolent. Then Nudge and the spirit merge in a spectacular effect that lights up the area.
· Cut to Plasm and show Chasm battling the Warriors 0f Plasm cast-the Org is going wild now that Zahnrhee's influence is gone and the feathered serpent is all that is left. Chasm is so powerful at this point that he brushes our guys away, but in the process he damages the Org and it strikes at him. We have a clear demonstration of his power when he brushes back even the Org! Chasm starts to understand and feel the extent of his power.
· Cut to the end of the battle between War Dancer and Charlemagne. Charlemagne, through relentless perseverance, manages to defeat War Dancer. War Dancer tells him that he was going to destroy the world before it destroyed itself and half the universe in the process because people are becoming gods. War Dancer tells him "I can't do it. You have to." Charlemagne can see evidence of what War Dancer is telling him going on around him. Charlemagne refuses to destroy the Earth, but now he understands the situation.
· Skipper has arrived back and tells Charlemagne that he must take War Dancer to Avalon. Charlemagne asks why refuses to obey some strange man he's never met. Then Nudge/Zahnrhee calls out to War Dancer and tells him he must go to Avalon. She is on the way, herself, with Avalon folk who were alerted when the spirit transfer occurred and came to get her. Charlemagne agrees to go and everybody is converging on Avalon!
· Sally has been forgotten in the shuffle. Someone finally tells her that she won't be needed now that the real Zahnrhee (or a reasonable facsimile) is found. Styx takes her back to the real world, but things are getting very weird there. Quantum things are manifesting themselves and much is out of control.
Schism #2 Plot Synopsis
· Chasm is attacking Avalon. He is wreaking havoc and causing great destruction! Fighting him are: Thrakahl, Michael Alexander, etc., also Nobody is there and has the Wish Box with him (in a bag?).
· War Dancer and Charlemagne show up and Chasm trashes them, too.
· Nudge arrives, brought by Styx, amid all the chaos and Chasm goes for her.
· Before Chasm can get to her, Mule shows up with an army of demons and they pour into the city.
· These surprise reinforcements battle Chasm to a stand still. Chasm grabs Nudge and takes off.
· Last ish. Left off with Chasm attacking Avalon.
· Last ish. Nudge called to War Dancer to go to Avalon.
· Chasm knows Nudge has the spirit of Zahnrhee.
· Mule has retaken control over the Dark Dominion in Chasm's absence and control of the demons. Mule was the lord of the Dark Dominion before Chasm deposed him.
· The heroes pick up the pieces after the battle. They discuss/argue their next moves. Mule saved them, people thank him. Michael is appalled by the very presence of Mule and the demons. They say they must find Nudge, but Michael will not work with demons and leaves, followed by Nobody.
· Nobody asks Michael "Aren't you going to help?" Michael says he's going to find her himself.
· Nobody wants to go with Michael but he refuses, saying that it's no place for kids. But Nobody says "I'm not afraid." Michael looks in his eyes and sees none. Says Nobody can come with.
· Michael told Mule he would not deal with demons or their masters in Dark Dominion #4 and again in Dark Dominion #9. He refuses to deal with evil even for a good cause.
· Cut to an establishing shot of the Org of Plasm, somewhat mutated.
· Cut to Lorca, Preach, Glory, and Gossamer in the palace (or wherever they were at the end of Warriors Of Plasm #12). Lorca is receiving reports of upheavals and of his people returning to their pagan ways, sacrificing neoforms and such. He is trying to regain control of the situation.
· Gossamer tried to kill Lorca in Warriors Of Plasm #11 because her people were destroyed. She is probably still not happy.
· The doors are kicked in and Sueraceen, Lord Leviathan, Strafelord Maxilla, and other military guys stride in with zoms and soldiers.
· Lorca tries to order her to calm the populace and stuff. She refuses, saying "The Org has asserted its' will!" and accuses him of being antithetical to the will of the Org. He asks if she has come to assassinate him, but no, he's good in bed so she'll let him live. She has come for the infidels! Especially that Gossamer.
· Sue has been religiously inspired by the Org taking over and wants to do the will of the Org. Sue might respect Preach and Glory, but they are still infidels.
· Lorca and troops and heroes fight to protect Gossamer and themselves. Gossamer is impressed that Lorca would put himself at risk for her.
· They fight and escape to parts unknown (for now).
· Here is the beginning of Lorca and Gossamer's relationship.
· Cut to Hortch and Lictor in some secret cave where they have been observing the recent events. Hortch is deciding that this is the time to reassert his Emp-ship. Lictor is less certain that this is a good idea, but Hortch is resolved.
· They go off to accomplish this plan.
· Watching all the chaos and upheaval, but especially the Sue/Lorca battle.
· Cut to Lorca's centrum. Lorca commands his zoms to hold the fort and then he uses the equipment to try to figure out just what is going on. He sees tentacles from the Org reaching toward shimmering spots in space and disappearing into them. He realizes that the Org is peircing the reality veil to Earth.
· As Sue and her troops come smashing in, slaughtering zoms and breaking down walls/doors, Lorca, Glory, Preach, and Gossamer use transportrons to escape (to Earth).
· The Org is mutating more and more and has smelled the earth and is trying to reach it.
· They want to save the Earth, but it's also the only place to run.
· Cut to Chasm arriving with Nudge at an underground nuclear test site from the 60's. A huge sphere, deep underground, with smooth walls of once molten rock.
· Chasm begins to create structures using the raw, ambiant fear of the world and shaping it like a sculptor or stonemason.
· He just builds what he needs at first-a prison for Nudge, a citadel for himself with a device to see the world.
· Chasm laments the fact that Mule had time to take over control of all his demons and now he has no minions to do his bidding.
· This area is probably radioactive and is irradiating Nudge fatally (eventually).
· Perhaps Nudge is staked down during this.
· Chasm also betrayed his minions the last time he saw them in Dark Dominion #4.
· Chasm hears a noise! He turns to see some demons lurking in the shadows. Demonica and some other demon lords and their servant demons or toadies.
· These inform him that they are not loyal to Mule and are elder demons that predate Mule and Chasm both. They didn't like that upstart Mule when he first turned up. They don't like Chasm much either, but it looks like he might be the winning side.
· Chasm appreciates Demonica's babe-a-licious qualities and she coils herself laciviously and servilely around his legs.
· He addresses them and shows them (on his new device) the world growing dark and the coming merger of all realities. The growth is growing out of control and the tentacles from the Org coming through rifts in the reality veil are ripping up stuff.
· Demonica does not like him, hates him even, but is willing to be worshipful and servile. She's his new squeeze.
· Here we make clear the difference between quantum and reality to the readers.
· Chasm causes the growth to grow up and through the veil to wrap around and constrain the Org and hold it at bay. He does not want Earth destroyed, but he knows the growth won't hold it for long.
· Chasm's plan (as related to Demonica) is to free the spirit of Zahnrhee and force it to go back to the Org. He needs the Org back under control.
·They begin to torture Nudge. They stake her to the ground by peircing her legs and arms so that when she writhes in pain she does more damage. Then Demonica, with her long razor sharp claws meticulously carves a criss-cross pattern all over her and slowly flays the skin, bit by bit. As she pulls away each bit she forces Nudge to watch her roast and eat it, relishing.
· "How?" asks Demonica. Chasm replies "Oh, it will go willingly once we're through with Nudge." Demonica says "That's my specialty!"
· The smell of burning flesh is offensive and upsetting, too.
· Cut to Lorca and company arriving on Earth and seeing the manifestations of the changes in reality. They see reality and the substratum flickering in and out, and the tentacles of the Org tearing up stuff and quantum demons raising heck. (since Chasm is raising hell).
· They realize that they cannot do this alone and Glory says "I know where I can get some help." She goes off to find the Good Guys.
· Lorca and Gossamer are sensitive to quantum as they are from Plasm (Gossamer may have extra alien senses). Preach has powers of seeing light and energy. Glory may be least sensitive.
· Glory gets the Good Guys's in Good Guys #9.
· Cut to Prudence looking out her window, seeing this tentacle flickering in and out of reality and tearing up stuff in both worlds.
· Miffed that something is damaging the world she wants to conquer, she leaves to go stop it. She doesn't want to be left with damaged goods.
· On the way, she is passing through a wooded area and there is a big, armored, monster-looking guy tearing up trees. It's Stonewall, newly transformed and amazed at what he can do, testing his power.
· Shocked at someone discovering him he attacks her.
· These tentacles are coming through both in the real world and the Dark Dominion. They might also flicker back and forth.
· Stonewall has just been transformed but we don't yet have an origin or abilities for him. He should be very tough.
· Meanwhile, back on the Org, Sue and the other military types watching what the Org is doing realize that the Org wants to destroy the Earth.
· When the growth comes up and restrains the Org, they (in their fervor to do the will of the Org) go streaming down the growth, using it as a bridge to attack the Earth and subdue it for the Org.
· The growth/bridge grows up through the veil passing from quantum to dreamtime. But everything is fading in and out of quantum and reality, too.
· Cut to Lorca and company, the Warriors Of Plasm. Glory returns with the Good Guys, minus Nobody, and they go to hold the bridge against the invaders.
· Cut to Shooter off doing some mission of his own, ignoring all that is going on.
Schism #3 Plot Synopsis
· The Master is having a tantrum. Thumb in his mouth, hugging himself, he's screaming "Is my fort ready?" to the appalled and nervous foreman of the job. His nanny, beside herself with worry, tries to comfort him. They are in a temporary tech center, housing the Master's computers and view screens.
· The Foreman says no. He tries to explain but the Master cuts him off. The tantrum escalates. The Master has the guy killed (by robots-non human, activated by voice command). The Nanny is appalled, scared, afraid to say anything critical or reproving.
· The Master goes to his fortress, which is just about finished and soon will be. Robots are at work all over it. It is an impregnable Polyhedron (octahedron- like a soccer ball). It is built to survive in space if the Earth were destroyed.
· The Master explains to nanny about human kind becoming aware due to the Schism. He has been researching the recent events and has discovered that because of rifts between the real world and the dreamtime, wishes (dreams) are coming true. Also Mankind's awareness (their senses) is expanding and people are perceiving more of the Quantum Plane and their perception of the Quantum Plane is starting to make the stuff real.
· After explaining all this to nanny he checks with the computer to make sure it got all that and maybe asks for a theory or something. We find out that the nanny (and other human employees) have implants that are hooked into an A.I. (artificial intelligence) and each employee is, in essence, an input station for the computer.
· The Master lost his island base of operations in Good Guys # 6 & 7. In #7 there is a good idea of what kind of equipment he would have in the new base also. The nanny is established there also.
· The master's robots are all non human industrial type robots.
· Our theory is that perception affects reality, so when folks see the demons and stuff on the Quantum Plane, their belief embues the things with reality.
· Cut to Warriors Of Plasm-Glory, Preach, Lorca, Gossamerand the Good Guys-Scrag, Spellcaster, Recon, Flex, Heater, Front- on the Growth-Bridge winning against the Plasm forces led by Sueraceen. Victory! The Plasm forces fall back in disarray. But in the course of the battle we see that a few Ariaks and Life Scourges have gotten through.
· All the reference for Plasm battle troops are in Warriors Of Plasm and the card set.
· The heroes are exhausted and see Thrakahl's ally, Mule, coming up the growth-bridge behind them to help (they think).
· Mule's army surrounds the unsuspecting heroes and attacks them-clobbering them. Takes them prisoner and proceeds up the ever more unstable growth to Plasm (which is still straining and fighting the growth).
· Mule and his demon army should be found in Schism # 2.
· Perhaps the space behind the Org is weird and other dimensional.
· Mule realizes that he is getting stronger as he gets closer to Plasm. He thinks this is a pretty good thing. By the time he gets to Plasm he is as powerful as Chasm was in Warriors Of Plasm # 10 & 11.
· He conquers Plasm. It is pretty much leaderless and chaotic. So he fights his way to the imperial centrum and declares himself Emperor.
· See Warriors Of Plasm #12 (plot) for the state of affairs on Plasm.
· Mule encounters Hortch (probably in the centrum). Perhaps Hortch has made a bid for power amidst the chaos. Mule extracts the secret of his link with the Org. Here, using Mule, we explain the serpent and show it. Maybe a bonding ceremony?
· Hortch escapes since Mule essentially ignores him and doesn't need him any more. Hortch uses a transportron to take him and Lictor to Earth. Mule takes command of the Org.
· Mule prods/spurs the serpent on to resist the growth and get to the Earth (to eat it). The Org is pushing through the growth.
· Mule regroups & his forces.
· Hortch has a hereditary or traditional mental link with the Org's mind, which was the spirit of Zahnrhee and the feathered serpent. This was what allowed him to remain Emp even though he was such a loser.
· Cut to Chasm after he has ripped Michael's heart out and exulted in his victory. He swallows the pulsing, glowing (quantum) heart. Michael's body seems dead, but it has not dissolved into slymooze. (Kind of a hint that the death may not be complete).
· He sees that the Org is pushing through the restraining growth. He summons Demonica (who is torturing Nudge). Chasm orders her to dump Michael's body and step up the pressure on Nudge--he needs the spirit of Zahnrhee worse than ever to contain the growth. He goes to fight the Org.
· The scene is in Pandemonium- Chasm's hell designed in Schism #2. David put black bleed borders around all the hell scenes.
· Chasm made Demonica real to be able to torture Nudge.
· Nobody has found the dungeon while trying to hide from the demons that were chasing him. He's watching and listening from the shadows. As soon as Demonica leaves Nudge to go talk to Chasm he creeps to Nudge. Her light (life force) is low. (He becomes real to talk to her.) He wants to help her. She tells him to get a container. He says "What? What kind of container?" - "Any." He looks around. He remembers that he has the Wish Box. He holds it out. And in a brilliant flash of light Zahnrhee's soul goes into the box. "Go." He beats it.
· Demonica returns. Begins again. Nudge smiles at the now idle threats.
· Throughout Pandemonium the light is low and it's shadowy.
· Nobody should be carrying the box with him up to this time in the previous issues. See how.
· Cut to Chasm, The Dark God battling to restrain the Org. He has grown very large. The size relationship of Chasm to Org is about like an average human to a Winnebago. The Org has mutated into the serpent. The Org/serpent should be, visually, somewhere in between the Org and the serpent spirit on the Schism cover.
· In Warriors of Plasm #12, we've established that Chasm can get big once he has become the Dark God. Also the Org/serpent is established in #12.
· Cut to War Dancer and Charlemagne fighting guys whose (nightmarish, worst) wishes have come true. Toxin, Kreep, Canker. Toxin secretes a substance that is a reality poison. That is, it affects the way people perceive reality. In a normal human, it might drive them crazy, but in War Dancer it starts to narrow his awareness (of Quantum) and sap his will. Once he is weakened one of the bad guys hits him hard. War Dancer is despairing and hurt. Charlemagne strives against the foes, nothing stops this guy. Igo comes and calls them back to Avalon despite the continuing disaster. They break off reluctantly and with difficulty. This is the big one to save the world. Charlemagne has to transport them because War Dancer is injured.
· Charlemagne has the ability to get the powers of someone he's in contact with for a period of time. Check on the latest update of his abilities.
· Cut to Sally and Fabiano dancing on the mountain top. Sally is dancing, chanting, clicking her heels together, getting frantic. Fabiano is trying to placate and calm her. He thinks she's completely crazy. Finally, though, it works. She starts to fade out, and Fabiano says "Take me with you". She extends her hand.
· In War Dancer #2, pg. 3 a similar scene takes place.
· Cut to Thrakahl picking up the pieces in Avalon after Mule's treacherous attack. Peaches is there, helping and taking care of the injured Galahad, though she is injured, too. Thrakahl is probably attracted to Peaches, most men are. She's an archetype of a female hero- brave, bold, beautiful, but she also inspires people to honor.
· They are told about Michael by one of Thrakahl's confederates who has been monitoring the world situation, and Galahad rises from his sickbed to go to help or revenge him. He is very weak and has trouble spin/dancing but finally goes.
· Peaches and Galahad from Dark Dominion #7. (Jeff, they can change clothes!).
· Cut to the Master who is using his technology to look in on events around the world. He decides that Chasm is looking like a winner and goes to help. He gathers some equipment and heads for Disneyland.
· Cut to Shooter opposing Truc in L.A. They are fighting in a shopping district where Truc had been leading some of his gang on a looting spree. Shooter is winning the fight.
· Cut to Prudence fighting Stonewall. She picks him up and throws him, she hits him hard enough to drive him into a hillside but he just keeps coming--nothing hurts this guy! He gets in a few good hits on her, too. Finally she throws him onto the power lines of an Amtrak railway and while he's stunned she ties him and hangs him upside down from a tall power line tower while she goes to deal with the Org tentacle that is still ripping the heck out of New Jersey.
· Grimmax is fighting some Ariaks and Life Scourges in New York City that got through the lines of the battle on the growth/bridge. They fly or hover by anti-gravity and are heavily armored. Probably three or four of the things are enough to do major damage and give Grimmax all the trouble he can stand. They will cause major damage and casualties.
Schism #4 Plot Synopsis
· Michael and Nudge are making short hops through Quantum Space, escaping from Chasm. Nudge is in BAD shape. We see the state of Earth (in quantum) as they go.
· Cut to the Master using his viewscreens to check on things. We see the state of real Earth. He explains they see the world crumbling-people becoming aware-Like Lorca said, they are living up to "the potentialities of their spirits".
· Nudge has been flayed and burned and raked with Demonica's claws, she was dying when Michael took her quantum to save her life.
· Cut to Judah. Have a scene that shows his viewpoint, gets his take on things.
· Cut to Hortch and Lictor on Earth. Get their view.
· Cut to Kreep, Canker, and Toxin wreaking havoc in the wake of War Dancer and Charlemagne leaving.
· Schism #3.
· Cut to Avalon to establish where we left off last issue. War Dancer and Sally/Zahnrhee are attempting the Dance of Two. Maybe the establishing shot could echo the first time we see it but with dark clouds and destruction and energy all around.
· Cut to Mule and hordes attacking Avalon.
· Cut to Chasm also attacking Avalon.
· Cut to Thrakahl and the defenders.
· Cut to Charlemagne fighting the serpent/spirit.
· Cut to the Wizards.
· Cut to the Dance of Two. It is not going well.
· The Master attacks as per his deal with Chasm.
· All seems lost.
· The Spell is not good because of Sally. They start again.
· Fight serpent--Charlemagne.
· To the walls
· Cut to the Dance of Two.
· The Org is held at bay.
· Charlemagne's escaping.
· Cut to Prudence as Styx comes for her.
· Cut to Shooter as Styx comes for him. He refuses to leave the fight.
· Cut to Mouse as Styx comes for him.
· Cut to Grimmax as Styx comes for him.
· Charlemagne heroic.
· Sally and War Dancer heroic.
· Defenders heroic.
· Reinforcements heroic.
· Bad guys held at bay.
· Chasm is furious and scolds the Master. The Master won't take that kind of attitude.
